Things to do While in Fort Nelson

Just a short five minute walk from the campground is the Fort Nelson Heritage Museum.  Take a tour of the wild life display, old cars and the trappers cabin.  You will be in for quite a treat.

Across from the museum is the recreation center, where the visitors information center is housed.

Next door to the museum is the Art Fraser Memorial Park. Here you will find a playground, baseball diamonds, beach volleyball, tennis and basketball courts. For those hot summer days there is also the Rotary Spray Park.

Catch a movie at the Phoenix Theatre   www.phoenixtheatre.ca 

Take a drive out to the Poplar Hills Golf Course and go for a round on the challenging 9 hole course.

There are also 10 stocked fish ponds south of Fort Nelson.  Look for the little blue fish signs just off the Alaska Highway.  

If you need a fishing license stop in at CMP Sports to pick one up.
